So many memories of Bas since we met in 1983 when we were just lads Falling asleep in the Arkwright type till at the Waterton continues to endure Can’t think of a soul that didn’t like him - that’s rare Outside of family he’s one the the very few blokes I ever hugged! If there’s a debating society in heaven it’s about to get lively! Rest in peace my friend

Baz, we have had some great times! You have been the funniest character I think I have ever met! From begging you for a job in the kitchen at the Waterton and you eventually giving in and agreeing I was right! I was a hard worker! To you driving me all the way to Preston to look at a Uni campus and taking me over Spaghetti Junction, as I'd never been there! I know my father held you in great esteem with your annual trips to the Wherry Brewery here in Norfolk. I hope he has already come to meet you and you are planning some trips out again! I think the greatest gift you gave me was the friendship I have with your daughter, Emma! She is a chip off the old block, although I'm not convinced she has completely cultivated the art of sleeping standing up... but there's time yet! I once wrote you a poem, when you left the Waterton and although I can't remember all the words, it was based on American Pie, by Don McLean, and I know for sure the last words were " The day the Baz Man flew" so, you have flown! This is the day! Fly far, my friend and cause as much chaos as you possibly can! Your girls will miss you, I will miss you... and that's for real! Xxxx

Dearest Barry you were a great friend, comedian and confidante. You had a sharp brain and opinion on everything and someone not to talk politics of with lightly. Baz you were to there for me (Sharon) when I was in a dark place and helped me out of that and giving me confidence - even if you did make me fall in the river later. We will miss you or were a one off. We are thinking of you Linda, Emma and Mel Lots of love Sharon and Pete xxx

Our Mate Baz As we remember Baz It's with a smile, His razor wit, His unique style. His own take on life, His political insight. Don't start him on Brexit We'll be here all night! His mind was quick, His responses smart. He really was A Tricky Tart! To our friend Baz, Peace and Goodwill Brother! A one of a kind, A man like no other. Thanks for all the wonderful memories Baz. To Linda and the family - sending you all our love & thinking of you, Simon, Vicky & family xxxx
